Post Approval & Endorsement Process

I received an email from Alter Domus that my application has been approved. So, what is the next step?

  • Let us know when you (and your family) plan to fly to Malaysia and we will advice you the necessary steps (including how long you are required to stay to complete the whole process).
    Note: You (and your family) will be given 90 days from the date the approval is issued to get the MM2H visa endorsed (get the visa onto the passport).

  • You need to remit the disbursement fees.

  • Banking – 2 options:

    • ​Option 1 – “Pre-arrival” account opening where you can open a Malaysian bank account (selected banks) outside of Malaysia and remit the money over to the newly opened Malaysian bank account. You complete the identity verification step at the bank when you are here in Malaysia.

    • Option 2 – Open the bank account when you are in Malaysia. You need to be present at the bank to do this.

  • Regardless banking option 1or 2, you have to fly over to Malaysia with your family members.

  • You have to complete the bank account opening (identity verification) and get the bank documents.

  • You (and your family) will have to complete a simple medical checkup here using MFII form at a hospital panel appointed by the Ministry.

  • If you have children aged 21 till 34 years old under your MM2H application, your children are required to do a Statutory Declaratin of single status and unemployment in Malaysia at any Commissioners of Oaths in Malaysia.

  • Give us the passports along with the MFII forms, medical reports, bank documents along with the Statutory Declaration, and we will submit these documents for visa endorsement (sticking the visa on the passport).

  • Once endorsed, you need to remit the remaining balance of the total fees and we will return the passports to you (and your family).

Documents Required for Endorsement

What documents I need to for MM2H endorsement?

  1. Original passport:

    • Required for all participants.

    • Must have at least 3 blank pages.

  2. MM2H Approval Letter.

  3. Medical/Health Insurance:

    • Required for all participants aged below 60 years old.

    • Only local medical/health insurance or international medical insurance with worldwide coverage (subject to terms and conditions).

    • Validity: Not less than 1 year of coverage.

    • File format: PDF only.

  4. Original Bank LIEN Letter of your MM2H Fixed Depost (FD):

    • Platinum: USD 1million.​

    • Gold: USD 500,000.

    • Silver: USD 150,000.

    • SEZ/SFZ (aged 21 till 49 years old): USD 65,000.

    • SEZ/SFZ (aged 21 till 49 years old): USD 32,000.

  5. Original Bank Slip of your MM2H Fixed Depost (FD) – If required.

  6. Medical report:

    • Required by all participants.

    • Must be done at the hospital panels appointed by the Ministry in Malaysia.

  7. Statutory Declaration of single status and unemployment in Malaysia:

    • Required for children aged 21 till 34 years old.​

    • Can be done at any Commissioners of Oaths in Malaysia.

  8. Security Bond stamped by LDHNM – We will prepare this on your behalf.​

  9. Payment for processing including MM2H visa fee, MM2H Registration fee, Immigration Processing fee, medical checkup fee, basic medical/health insurance, etc.​

  10. Other supporting documents if required – Such as Sales And Purchase Agreement (SPA or S&P) for properties bough before endorsement.

Post Approval & Endorsement FAQ

How much time do I have to get the MM2H visa after receiving the approval?

The approval letter states that one must come and collect the MM2H visa in person in Malaysia within 90 days from the date the approval letter is issued.
