We Did It Again!
It all started in 2003/2004 when we helped foreigners, unofficially, with their Malaysia My Second Home visa. Alter Domus Management and Service, an enterprise was sent up in 2005 to facilitate the MM2H visa application. In 2006, Alter Domus (MM2H) Sdn. Bhd. was formed in line with the requirements of setting up an MM2H agency. We were the first to be licensed with license number MM2H/0001.

We did it again. In this 2024 relicensing exercise, we believe we are the first legacy MM2H company (agency with existing MM2H clients) to be licensed. Is it a coincidence? No. We did everything quickly and efficiently.

MM2H is a difficult business and here we are, after twenty years, Alter Domus is still the first few to get a new license in this relicensing exercise. Our customer service is world class. We did not say this, but our clients did. Check out our 5-star reviews at Google https://g.page/AlterDomus-MM2H
For the last 20 years, we acted on emails and replied almost immediately. That is our signature service that others find it hard to match.
A 13-month bank guarantee of RM200,000 from the date of license issuance is required for the new license but it takes at least a week to get the bank guarantee formalized or legalized. So, it is likely people will wait until the approval letter is obtained before starting the process. Doing the bank guarantee earlier may not work if the approval letter for new license is delayed and the 13-month bank guarantee will become a 12-month guarantee.
Think out of the box...........
We have no plans to shut down our company. So, we completed a 27-month bank guarantee in early August that will tide us through until our next renewal. 13 months times two plus one month. More than enough to satisfy MOTAC! So, our bank guarantee was ready early August, four days before we received the approval letter. Just in time!
We think creatively to help our clients resolve their immigration issues (in a legal manner). That is the reason why we have been contacted by a few embassies and high commissions in Malaysia to help their citizens in MM2H distress.
Internet is abuzz with people commenting that applying for MM2H is a piece of cake… Well, when your application is problematic, then this statement is not true. Those who have problems with their application generally do not post them on the internet. It is analogous to those who lose in the casino will not publicize them on the internet. Only those who win will do so.
Our rented office was located at Level 1, 48 Pahang Road, 10400 Georgetown, a modest 1600-sqft office that fitted our needs. In February 2024, we shifted to our current location at 70-A Jalan Zainal Abidin, 10400 Georgetown. It is a 3-storey, 3000-sqft building with an elevator. It will fit us well with the new MM2H where we expect a surge in applications.
We have a lot of inquiries from clients who are staying in Johor Bahru and Klang Valley. We will set up a branch in:
-
Johor Bahru (expected to begin operations in Sept 2024)
-
Kuala Lumpur (expected to begin operations in Dec 2024)
We will submit two requests in MOTAC’s Tourlist system for permission to set up two branches when it is open for application.
We are ready to help our clients with the new MM2H. The internet is filled with misinformation and incorrect negative bias. Instead of bickering on the internet, contact us instead and find out the latest information on pricing, requirements and how we can help you.
