Permission to Study
Dependent children under MM2H can study in International Schools, but a “Permission to Study” stamp (a.k.a. "Chop Kayu) must be obtained from the MM2H Office at Putrajaya. The dependent children must not be above 18 years old and be physically present in Malaysia while applying for the Permission to Study under MM2H.
Documents & Process for Permission to Study
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR PERMISSION TO STUDY

Authorization Letter by the principal – Must be signed by the principal.

Copy of the MM2H Approval Letter.

Copy of the principal current passport particular page and the current MM2H visa page.

Copy of the dependent children current passport particular page, current MM2H visa page, and latest entry stamp page.

Original letter of acceptance from the school.

Original enrolment fee payment/receipt from the school.

Copy of bank statement showing the payment to the school.

2 pieces of passport sized photo with blue background for each child – You can send us the photo with different background colour or we will take a photo at our office and send it for printing with additional charges billed onto the invoice.

Release Letter if the principal applied his/her MM2H via his/her previous agent/sponsor that is still active.
Due to impersonation fraud, if there is a change of agent/sponsor, a Release Letter from the original agent/sponsor must be obtained whereby the previous agent/sponsor are absolved of all responsibilities to the MM2H applicant.
The principal can request this letter by themselves or Alter Domus can help the applicant to request on behalf of the applicant – Previous agent/sponsor will ask for certain charges for a Release Letter due to the loss of their potential clients and business.
All documents has to be presented to us about at least 2 days before our trip to MM2H Centre.
Processing time for permission to study submission at MM2H Centre is 1 working day, but in the event there are system issue at MM2H Centre, processing time will be delayed for 1 or 2 working days depending on the status at MM2H Centre.
MM2H Centre will take at least 14 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays) for the MM2H Centre to review and process your submission – We will update the applicant(s) once we received the new approval for your dependent child(ren) Permission to Study.
Once it is approved, you are required to handover your dependent children passport at least 2 days before our trip to Putrajaya for endorsement.
Processing time for endorsement at MM2H Centre is 1 day, and the passport(s) will be returned to your children on the following day at our office. However, in the event of MM2H system has issue, it will take another 1- or 2-day(s) to be processed at Putrajaya before returning to the passport(s) on the following day.
