Termination of MM2H

If an MM2H applicant wishes to surrender their MM2H visa and withdraw their MM2H Fixed Deposit funds before returning to their home country, have the option to terminate their MM2H in Malaysia or from abroad. However, it is important to contact the bank of the MM2H Fixed Deposit first to confirm if funds can be withdrawn remotely without the need to be physically present at their branch in Malaysia. Additionally, it is recommended to obtain the bank officer's name and contact details, including email address, to assist with the fund's withdrawal process, in case any other necessary documents are required by the bank It is important to note that all banks in Malaysia have their own Private and Confidential rules that cannot be interfered with by any third-party, such as an MM2H agency or sponsor, in their Standard Operating Procedures. Therefore, any bank-related matters must be handled directly between the bank and their customers.

Termination in Malaysia

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE FIRST SUBMISSION OF TERMINATION OF MM2H IN MALAYSIA

  • Letter of Intention – Must be signed by principal/Beneficiary/Executor.

  • Copy of the MM2H Approval Letter.

  • Copy of the old and current passports of principle and all dependent(s) particular pages, last Malaysian entry stamp pages, and the MM2H visa pages.
    In the event the MM2H holder(s) renewed their passport(s), they are required to do a Transfer of their MM2H sticker from the old passport to their new passport before they can submit for their MM2H Termination.

  • Return flight ticket for principle and dependents that’s not more than 4 weeks upon submission date.

  • In the event of the principle has passed away, these documents must provide to us:
    a) Copy of Death Cert (in Malay/English).
    b) Copy of Will or Probate (in Malay/English).
    c) Copy of the passport’s particular page(s) of Beneficiary and Executors.

  • Copy of Bank Lien Letter showing the MM2H Fixed Deposit/Time Deposit.

  • The name of the bank officer in-charge for the funds withdrawal at the branch including its contact and email address.

All documents has to be presented to us about at least 2 days before our first trip to MM2H Centre.
Processing time for termination in Malaysia first submission at MM2H Centre is at least 3 working days – We will update the status of the submission in real-time on that day.​

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE SECOND SUBMISSION OF TERMINATION OF MM2H & COLLECTION OF TERMINATION LETTER IN MALAYSIA

The applicants should bring the following documents:

  • Original old and current passports of principle and all dependent(s) with MM2H visa(s) on them.

All passports must be presented to us at least 2 days before our second trip to MM2H Centre.

Processing time for second submission at MM2H Centre is 1 working day. MM2H Centre will shorten the applicant(s) MM2H visa to match the validity of their return flight ticket dates before MM2H Office issued the Termination Letter that is addressed to the bank.
In the event the system has issue on that day, we will retry on the next day, and you should be able to get the passport(s) with shortened MM2H visa and the original Termination Letter on the following day from us at our office.

Termination from Abroad (Out of Malaysia)

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE FIRST SUBMISSION OF TERMINATION OF MM2H FROM ABROAD (OUT OF MALAYSIA)

The applicant(s) must scan email us the following documents in PDF or JPG file (600 dpi):

  • Letter of Intention – Must be signed by principal/Beneficiary/Executor.

  • Copy of the MM2H Approval Letter.

  • Copy of the old and current passports of principle and all dependent(s) particular pages, last Malaysian exit stamp pages, and the MM2H visa pages.

  • In the event of the principle has passed away, these documents must provide to us:
    a) Copy of Death Cert (in Malay/English).
    b) Copy of Will or Probate (in Malay/English).
    c) Copy of the passport’s particular page(s) of Beneficiary and Executors.

  • Copy of Bank Lien Letter showing the MM2H Fixed Deposit/Time Deposit.

  • The name of the bank officer in-charge for the funds withdrawal at the branch including its contact and email address.

All documents has to be emailed to us about at least 2 days before our first trip to MM2H Centre.
Processing time for termination from abroad (out of Malaysia) first submission at MM2H Centre is at least 3 working days – We will update the status of the submission in real-time on that day.​

(If the current MM2H visa is still valid) Applicant(s) have to bring the current passport with valid MM2H visa on it along with the Approval Letter for Termination of MM2H to Malaysian Embassy / Consulate / High Commission in their country to shorten the MM2H Visa.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE SECOND SUBMISSION OF TERMINATION OF MM2H FROM ABROAD (OUT OF MALAYSIA)

The applicant(s) must scan email us the following documents in PDF or JPG file (600 dpi):

  • Authorization Letter – Must be signed by principal/Beneficiary/Executor.

  • Colour copy of shortened MM2H Visa pages of principal and dependent(s).

  • Colour copy of Cancellation of MM2H visa (issued by the Malaysian Embassy / Consulate / High Commission.

All documents must be emailed to us at least 2 days before our second trip to MM2H Centre.

Processing time for second submission at MM2H Centre is 1 working day. MM2H Centre will issued the Termination Letter that is addressed to the bank – We will email the applicant the scanned copy of the Termination Letter on the next day (1 or 2 days after we returned from MM2H Centre) and the original Termination Letter will be delivered  to the appointed bank officer accordingly on their working hour (1 or 2 days after we returned from MM2H Centre).

 
In the event the system has issue on that day, we will retry on the next day, and applicant should be able to receive the scanned copy of the Termination Letter at the following working day (1 or 2 days after we returned from MM2H Centre), and the original Termination Letter will be delivered to the appointed bank officer on the next working day (1 or 2 days after we returned from MM2H Centre).
